Maintaining Good Eating Habit

1. Take time to chew your food properly so they are easy to break down and absorb.

2. Eat reasonable portions. Binge-eating strains your digestive system and decreases the effectiveness of the enzymes breaking down the food.

3. Eat smaller and healthy meals more frequently such as oats and fruit for breakfast, grilled fish for main meals and yoghurt, nuts or fruit for snack.

4. Drink plenty of water but NOT while you’re eating as it dilutes stomach acids and leads to poor digestion.

5. Do NOT eat late at night. Your digestive system is still at work although at a slower rate when you’re asleep. You’ll have problems sleeping and find it hard to wake up in the mornings. Eat at least 3 hours before bedtime.

6. Eat plenty of fiber such as whole grains, rice, nuts, seeds fruit and vegetables. Supplement with a good dietary fiber that help cleanse intestinal walls, mop up the toxin and bind the fats.
